2010 Season Preview

Kathryn Stott, Incontri’s Musical Director for the next two years, is a superb musician, a globe-trotting pianist, and has the added bonus of valuable experience running major festivals. We are so fortunate to have her on board and welcome her with enthusiasm.

Kathryn told us: ‘My aim for Incontri is that it should continue to strive for artistic excellence, attracting a fabulous array of international artists who can perform a wide range of musical repertoire.’

Her programme for the 2010 festival presents an exciting group of highly distinguished, internationally-acclaimed musicians in an eclectic and alluring series of concerts of which we can already offer a preview. Performances of intimate chamber music at the highest level represent a return to the heart and soul of the Incontri, and there will also be our annual foray into the world of early music through a concert curated by our manager Nicky Swallow. A multi-faceted orchestral program and other surprises will enrich the week’s events and add to another unforgettable series of ‘serate Toscane’ . We will post further details as and when they are confirmed.
